Miss Frankie was created by professional manicurist and salon owner Kara Jeffers, Miss Frankie is polish that’s passionate about your long-term nail wellbeing. Made in Australia, Miss Frankie’s healthy nail polishes utilise an innovative ten-free formula – that means it doesn’t contain the common toxic ingredients found in many varnishes – that also allows penetration by air and water. The result is healthier, happier nails. Plus, they’re safe to use when pregnant or on kids who like their fingers to have a little flourish.

And although Miss Frankie nail polishes are the healthy option – did we mention they’re cruelty free and vegan on top of all the other good stuff? – there is no compromise on quality. They apply smoothly to produce flawless, even coverage, and are chip-resistant, long-lasting and fast-drying.

Miss Frankie believes good things do come in little packages, so we have taken the time to make a product that not only performs well but looks beautiful, too.

Miss Frankie is proudly Australian made and owned. We are a licensee of the Australian made logo which is displayed on our packaging.

The brand is also are on the Choose Cruelty Free list (yes that little bunny logo you see on all our pink boxes) Choose Cruelty Free is Australia's only independent body that certifies cosmetics, personal care and household care items that have not been tested on animals.

THE MISS FRANKIE FORMULA

There are so many claims these days about what is (and isn’t) in nail polish, but what does it all really mean? With today’s technology there is no need for nasties such as formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), toluene, formaldehyde resin and camphor to be in your pretty bottle of polish. Why did they have these toxic ingredients in polishes for years (many still do) and why are they now obsolete? They’re good questions. Here are some facts about those nasties.

Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) Makes polish more flexible, but is banned in many places because it enhances the capacity of some other chemicals to cause genetic mutations, and is linked to developmental defects.

Formaldehyde Hardens and preserves nails, but is possibly carcinogenic.

Formaldehyde resin Helps nail polish adhere to nails, but is thought to cause allergic reactions.

Toluene Provides a smooth finish, but can cause dizziness, headaches and skin irritation.

Camphor Gives nail polish a glossy finish, but can trigger allergic skin irritations and cause nausea, dizziness and headaches.

OK, so none of these ingredients sound great, but equally you might think the small amount in nail polish will do you no harm. To be honest, maybe it won’t, but why take chances when the alternative is so much better? Miss Frankie healthy nail polish is proudly ten-free, which means it contains none of these ingredients, and is vegan and cruelty free as well.

What is breathable nail polish? So all this sounds amazing, but what actually is breathable polish? And what makes it bond, shine and last on nails? Breathable nail polish is made using a unique polymer that allows water and oxygen to pass through ensuring a healthier environment for your nails with no compromise on quality. The Miss Frankie formula is ten-free, vegan and cruelty-free.
